Motorola is reportedly planning to launch the Edge X40 globally, but with a new name. It will be known as the Motorola Edge 40 Pro in India and other international markets. Motorola Edge 40 Pro Specifications [Expected]
The Edge 40 Pro will feature a curved 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, narrow bezels, and a 165Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and Adreno GPU, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. The phone will run on Android 13 OS, and it will have a 4,600mAh battery with 125W fast wired and 15W wireless charging support.
The camera system on the Edge 40 Pro will consist of a 50MP primary unit with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom. There will be a 60MP unit on the front for selfies and video chats. The phone will feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, and Dolby Atmos.
Motorola Edge 40 Specifications [Expected]
The Edge 40, on the other hand, will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC, paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It will have a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The phone will have dual cameras on the back, with a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view. There is a 32MP snapper on the front. The phone will also feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Both the Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro will be available in Lunar Blue, Nebula Green, Eclipse Black, and Magenta color options. The Edge 40 will come in two models, Vegan Leather and PMMA Acrylic, with the latter weighing about 167 grams and measuring 7.49mm in thickness. Meanwhile, the former will weigh around 171 grams and measure 158.43 x 71.99 x 7.58mm.
