Motorola is apparently working on a new phone, the Moto Edge+ 2023, as a successor to its Moto Edge+ 2022. The device was recently spotted on Google Play Console, indicating that its launch might be drawing near.
The Moto Edge+ 2023 is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC, 12GB RAM, and an FHD+ display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. The device will come pre-installed with the Android 13 operating system.
Previous leaks suggest that the Moto Edge+ 2023 will likely be a rebranded version of the Moto X40, which was also listed on Bluetooth SIG certification.

According to the leaks, the phone is expected to have a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a curved screen, a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, and a 165Hz refresh rate. The device is also expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with Adreno GPU, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage.
The Moto Edge+ 2023 will reportedly be equipped with a 4,600mAh battery with 125W fast wired and 15W wireless charging support. Additionally, the device will have triple cameras on the back, including a 50MP primary unit with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom. The front camera will have a 60MP unit for selfies and video chats. The phone will also feature a three-dimensional liquid cooling system.
Although Motorola has not officially announced the Moto Edge+ 2023, the appearance of the device on the Google Play Console suggests that its launch is imminent.
