Pop-Cycle Launches World’s First Compact and Eco-Friendly Bike via Kickstarter
Pop-Cycle, a US-based bike manufacturer, has launched an innovative new product on Kickstarter – the Pop-Cycle city bike. According to the company, it is the world’s first bike with a sliding frame design that allows it to fold to up to one-third of its size. Made with eco-friendly materials, the Pop-Cycle bike is a breakthrough in urban transportation.
Although Pop-Cycle US INC is listed as the official manufacturer, there are reports suggesting that it may actually be a Korean company. Regardless, the bike’s unique features are causing a buzz in the market.
One of the main selling points of the Pop-Cycle bike is its sliding mechanism, which allows the rear wheel, seat post, and drivetrain to slide forward on the connecting tube. The clamp located under the seat tube controls the sliding mechanism, and the adjustment process takes only three seconds, while folding takes just four seconds. Pop-Cycle claims that its folding mechanism is one of the fastest on the market.
The Pop-Cycle frame is made using the die-casting method, which eliminates the need for welding joints. This process makes manufacturing the bike faster and more efficient, and assembling it is easy and straightforward, requiring only bolts and nuts. Pop-Cycle aims to provide customers with a seamless and enjoyable experience building the bike from scratch.
The Pop-Cycle bike has a sleek design that appears to be inspired by a Scandinavian furniture company. It weighs only 13kg and boasts a folding efficiency of 78%. The pedals and handlebars are also foldable, making it easy to store in small spaces.
Moreover, the Pop-Cycle bike is adjustable to suit different rider heights. The handlebar and saddle height can be modified for optimal comfort, while the 16-inch wheels are maximized by the dual-speed gear setup. The bike also features a 7-level Shift gearing system.
The Pop-Cycle bike is priced at $468 and will be available in June 2023. The Kickstarter campaign will end in May 2023, giving supporters the opportunity to own this revolutionary and compact bike. The Pop-Cycle bike is a game-changer for urban transportation, offering an eco-friendly and convenient solution for city dwellers.
